Here’s a great opportunity for you, your friends and family to get on your bikes and enjoy cycling!

The Family Cycle Trail will set off from Victory Fields (Bradford on Avon) between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on Sunday 15th July and it is free to take part.

The family Cycle Trail returns after a few years of not running but now that it’s back we want it to stay.  We want to encourage families to get out for the day on their bikes and enjoy what is on their doorsteps.  This popular event offers a rewarding and an enjoyable cycle of trails which many of you will be familiar with. 

Setting off from Victory Fields, find all the clues to complete the trail while cycling the beautiful cycle paths.  Heading back to the event village to collect a prize for all the children! 

The route is ideal for younger riders and families, taking in the wonderful surroundings that this county has to offer. Designed as an activity for the whole family, the ride is open to adults and children (participants must ride within their capabilities).

This is a fun ride that can be completed on all types of bicycles from electric assisted, recumbent, road bikes and mountain bikes one thing is for sure is that it is an enjoyable day out for all.

The Great BOA Toddle

Westview Day Nursery are supporting the BOA Cycling Festival by organising a children’s bike/trike ride the Toddle (or anything on 2-4 wheels!), on the Sunday 15th July 2018 @ 11am in Victory fields. We have the Forever Friend bear taking part too….. Feel free after the event to bring a picnic and join in with the BoA Cycling Festival.

We are proudly raising money for the Royal United Hospital in Bath (RUH), forever friends appeal. This is a charity close to so many hearts, especially the neonatal department who we have chosen to raise money for. Having looked after, loved, cared and cherished for so many little ones, a number who have been through the neonatal unit, we couldn’t think of a better charity to get behind.

The Great BOA Sportive

This sportive taking place in the heart of Wiltshire is one of the best ways to see what the county has to offer. With two differing length sportives, it has been designed specifically for people who want a fun social ride or more of a challenge.

Starting out from the Victory Fields in Bradford on Avon it meanders through many local villages using quiet country lanes which features visitor hotspots. The courses have been designed to be a looped course so then you start and finish in the same place. 

Why not rope your friends, family, and colleagues to take part with you making it a date in your diary that you will look forward to.

The sportives are part of the BOA Cycling Festival which will also feature the grueling hill climb, family fun ride and many other cycling activities for the whole family to make a day out of it.

Bike Skills Track

As in 2015, we have brought back the Northshore wooden pump track which is perfect for trying out your skills.

Denham from DC Cycles will be on hand to help little ones get around the course. If you have not tried riding on this before give it a go as it is a lot of fun.

Bike Football Trials

Felix from Avid Sports will be hosting a couple of Cycle Football games and in between the games, anyone can give it a go. Felix will be on hand to give people tuition guidance on how to start and where to find out information on where to go to get playing.

Activity Stalls

Forming the cycling festival there will be many of the sponsor partners along with a number of supporting cycling related stalls and activities for the whole family to do. If you are interested to have a stall at the cycling festival please get in contact with the organiser via the contact us page.

Shoretrax Demo Track

This wooden Shoretrax demo track put on by DC Cycles is a great addition to the festival. It will be located in the heart of the cycling village and can be used by all types of riders and all ages who fancy giving it ago.

Food & Drink Refreshments

There will be a variety of caters at the cycling festival so whether you want to grab yourself a bacon roll before the sportive of a coffee someone there will be able to serve you. As we encourage this to be a fun family event there is many places besides the riverbank and the canal which you can enjoy a picnic with your friends and family.



On the day entries are available at all our events as long as the event has not sold out prior to the event day. On the day entries are subject to an additional £2.00 per person surcharge.
